Rubondo Island is the National Park located northern parts of Tanzania at Mwanza mainland (region). This amazing island is found on the south-west shores of Lake Victoria and it comprises other small islands of Lake Victoria.
Rubondo Island was established in 1965 as a Game Reserve (protected area for wild animals) before 1977 authorized as the National park by the National park authority (TANAPA).
Rubondo covers an area of 456.8 km2 which makes among the smaller and wonderful National Park in Tanzania populated with different wildlife.
